AES opened its first China power station in 1994. Building from its core businesses of hydroelectric and coal-fired generation, the company now operates 8 projects in 7 provinces and municipalities throughout the country. AES China will continue to expand its business on the mainland, developing the teams and infrastructure necessary to support AES projects across Asia and around the world.
